item upgrading of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of items is a crucial aspect of preparing your character. Upgrades boost the base damage and enhancements of items.
They also offer bonuses and enhancements. They can be acquired from the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every recycled item adds one level to the gauge for upgrading.
Weapon
When a weapon gets upgraded, it receives a base damage bonus, as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. The weapon can also gain a number of upgrade components that provide additional effects or attributes, and some have unique cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets. Most require that the item is equipped with an upgrade slot and that it meets certain specifications. When a weapon or armor piece is equipped with an upgrade component it, it is able to be upgraded however the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be found using the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or a higher-tier salvaging tool for an item.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that boosts certain stats, such as Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon, this can be done up to four times.
When the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be rebuilt using a variety of different types of upgrades to increase specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. A variety of these upgrades can be re-applied simultaneously, and the effects vary depending on the quality of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area, and Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials differ: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
In general, it's best to improve your weapon's damage first. Then you can improve your armour defense and finally, the secondary stats required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons before upgrading any other equipment. This will increase DPS. This is especially relevant to enchantments that are extremely efficient in increasing a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to increase the stats base of specific pieces of armor weapons, trinkets, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also have other effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, through loot drops or as rewards from quests.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. In the majority of cases, a piece of armor can be upgraded to the next tier once an upgrade is applied. Most armor types can be upgraded, however some items (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island) cannot.
Most armor upgrades provide a small increase to an item's base defense or strength. However, item upgrading can provide significant enhancements to strength or defense, particularly when upgrading an epic item.
Certain upgrades grant special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can prove useful in combat. For instance they can boost attack speed or block. Certain upgrades can have passive effects that can be beneficial for example, decreasing damage when wearing armor or enhancing the chance to dodge an attack.
Upgrades to armor could require multiple attempts, depending on the type. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, then the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with the defense base ranging from 59 to 67. The second attempt would result in the creation of a Dragonscale armor with an initial defense range of between 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do this it is necessary to visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to the power of a fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular belief armor isn't useless in The Division 2. Certain armors give a substantial boost to the reduction of damage from poison spells, curses, magic or fire. This makes them very beneficial for certain types of builds. Additionally, there are ways to improve armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait that increases armor penetration, or the challenger trait that reduces total weight.
Potion
By placing a potion on a stand for brewing, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a new level of potion effects, and can be repeated to get more potency levels.
The potion also has an individual color code, that the player can pick via /give, and that affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition, the custom potion color also applies to the effects of the potion's particle effects.
The water bottle, mundane and thick potions and difficult potions, now have a new brewing texture. Added potion of weakness and potion of healing in Creative inventory.
